PSLE Math Intensive Prep: Paper 1 & Paper 2

Objective

To provide targeted practice and skill enhancement for Primary 6 students preparing for PSLE Math Paper 1 (non-calculator) and Paper 2 (calculator) within a concise timeframe.

Workshop Content and Structure

Day 1: Preparation for Paper 1 (Non-Calculator)

Session Duration: 3 hours (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

  1. Introduction and Overview (15 minutes)

    • Brief introduction to the workshop and its objectives

    • Overview of Paper 1 format and expectations

  2. Focused Practice Session 1 (1 hour)

    • Intensive practice with selected sample questions

    • Instructor-guided problem-solving techniques

  3. Break (15 minutes)

  4. Timed Practice Test (45 minutes)

    • Short practice test simulating exam conditions

  5. Review and Feedback (45 minutes)

    • Detailed review of practice test answers

    • Instructor feedback on common errors and improvement strategies

Day 2: Preparation for Paper 2 (Calculator-Allowed)

Session Duration: 3 hours (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

    • Introduction to effective calculator use

  2. Focused Practice Session 1 (1 hour)

    • Intensive practice with selected sample questions using calculators

    • Instructor-guided problem-solving techniques

    • Short practice test simulating exam conditions

  5. Review and Feedback (45 minutes)

    • Detailed review of practice test answers
